New 630W Solid-State GaN Power Amplifier for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)

GaN SSPA specifically designed for multifunctional LEO SmallSat and airborne SAR systems
CTT announces the new Model AGN/099-5860-P a GaN-based solid-state power amplifier specifically designed for – and currently operating in – multifunctional Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Small Satellite (SmallSat) and airborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems.
The amplifier operates in the Frequency of 9.4 to 9.9 GHz, within the 8.0 to 12.0 GHz frequency segment (X-Band), with a Pulse Power Output of 630 Watts, Small Signal Gain is 60 dB, min., and Noise Figure is +10 dB. The amplifier is 6.17” L x 6.35” W x 0.82” H and weighs less than 2 Pounds. Higher power available.
This new CTT GaN power amplifier is unique in the versatility of the GaN-based building blocks, that are at the heart of this design. CTT engineers have developed a proprietary, open architecture/common platform of GaN-based power amplifiers which relies on advanced coupler design and unique substrate material selection. The compact size of 4.25-in (L) x 3.25-in (W) x 0.88-in (H) offers RF/Microwave designers an excellent choice for SWaP-C solutions in many S through Ku-Band applications, including EW, radar and SATCOM.
